This book was better than the first. Because now that we are all aboard the wacky supernatural train that is Zoey's life, we are zooming full speed ahead. The governing board of the Supernatural Community has their eye on Zoey and are waiting for her to either prove she is an Aegis or for her death to catch up with her, all the while spying on any time that she and Riley have together. Problem is, Zoey doesn't know what an Aegis is or how to prove or disprove she is one. Add in the fact that the Leprechaun Mafia is targeting all the businesses in the area that are run by humans, but with ties tot the supernatural community and poor Zoey is having a very bad week.
Zoey is the kind of best friend anyone would want. She is kind, tough, smart and just weird enough to make you laugh and shake your head in wonder what she will think up next. I like that though she tries her best, a lot of the time, it is a group effort to get her out of the trouble she seems to find herself in. She relies on her friends, and they know that they can rely on her in turn. I gave this book 4 stars.
